Midlands Golf Week 12th-21st April 2013 Great reasons to get involved MORE THAN 3,300 would-be golfers seized the opportunity to give the sport a go during Midlands Golf Week 2012. The week-long festival of golf attracted record numbers to take part in a range of 576 activities from taster sessions and fashion shows to coaching programmes and Open Days. Figures released by the England Golf Partnership show that a total of 3,632 participants got involved compared to 1,143 in 2011. We plan to build on this momentum in 2013. If you would like to join the 2013 recruitment campaign here are a few pointers to ensure that maximum exposure is given to the Golf Week and that all activities are well attended:

Angie Eadon has won the Gallacher Award from the Golf Foundation which is presented to "a volunteer who, as a direct result of his/her efforts, has made a significant impact in the development of grass roots junior golf". This was presented to Angie on May 25th at Wentworth by Colin Montgomerie.
